My favorite thing about this season is all the beautiful spring blooms!
Everything is budding, sprouting and blooming after a long, cold, winter. New life everywhere!
You’ve probably heard that we are moving–swapping houses with our daughter and her family.
That said, my normal planting has gone to the wayside in favor of packing.
No vegetable garden this year and, with the price of vegetables at our grocery and local produce stand, that is no laughing matter!
Still, there’s not enough time for everything so I have just been trying to keep up with weeding and pruning shrubs, etc.
Thankfully, I do have flowers to enjoy even if my patio pots aren’t planted yet, thanks to the perennials I’ve planted over the years.
I thought I would share the some of my favorite perennials.

Campanula is a great ground cover and loves sun. Clematis is perfect for arbors, trellises and mailboxes.

My two absolute favorite flowers!

Who doesn’t love roses. The peony is a different type (but I can’t remember the name)

Stella Doro and Salvia add some height toward the back of a flower bed or make great border plants too!
I’m glad I have so many established plants to pick up the slack and provide pops of color in the yard.
Maybe I can get to those empty pots on the patio this weekend.
What are your favorite perennials ? What annuals do you combine to make gorgeous pots and planters?
