I’ve really been drawn to painted furniture with stenciled patterns and phrases that I have seen featured on Pinterest, in magazines and on my favorite blogs. When this table came through my front door, it was the perfect opportunity to try my hand at doing one for myself.
My husband fixed the broken leg and I grabbed my Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and got to work.

I made a stencil on my Cricut Explore.
Don’t you just love that saying?
A little bit of paint, a stencil and an old table is given new life! Doesn’t it look great in the room.
Makes you look at worn, less than perfect furniture differently, doesn’t it?

Love the idea and how the lamp draws attention the quote. Make me want to take a fresh coat of paint to my coffee table and see if I can’t give it a little facelift.
Thanks for sharing your inspiration!

I’ve been looking for a table like that for years, at a decent price, and your neighbor gives you one….lucky you! I love what you did with it, very nice restoration.
I never thought I would find one, so you can imagine how happy I was to be “given” one! Thanks!
I love how it turned out, Karen, and the saying is wonderful. I pinned it to the Pretty Preppy Party board–thanks so much for sharing! Hope to see you back with a few more projects next month!
Thanks so much Christy! I look forward to sharing more projects!
