Things are moving along slowly at our nest. We’ve been crazy busy, but have managed to get a couple of things done in between weddings, my injured back, his injured back, and celebrations of nearly every kind. Now that the living room is painted I’ve started to decorate the walls. It’s starting to feel more like home. I did this display on the front wall between the entry and front window.
If you follow The Decorated Nest on Facebook, you may have seen the photo of four framed pieces on the wall in my freshly painted living room. You will not believe how easy and inexpensive these were.
I was wandering around our local Michael’s Store with my 50% off coupon burning a hole in my pocket, looking around for a little inspiration, when I discovered these in the craft paper section. Two booklets called “DIY Gallery Art ” by “Me & My Big Ideas” filled with prints that you simply frame and hang. The front of the booklet shows the framed art and the back shows the different sizes of each print. There are even instructions on how to arrange them with illustrations! They retail for around $19.00 each and with a 50% off coupon were extremely affordable! Twenty-eight prints for under $9.00–I love a bargain.

The graphics are printed on a poster board weight paper in multiple sizes. Lots of possibilities!
Literally an entire gallery of printed art work. You choose the print, pop it in a frame and hang it up. I did trim some of them down a bit because my frames were custom sized from other artwork and with the exception of the monogram (which I cut out with my Cricut Explore) it took me less than 5 minutes for each of these!
Here is a shot of the grouping I did with 4 of the prints. ( I have taken multiple shots of this group and they keep coming out the same no matter what I do, so here is the best shot I could get!) Note to self: take pictures of glass framed pics “before” hanging so glare from windows can be avoided.
It doesn’t get much easier than this! Lot’s more to do, but all in good time!
Thanks for stopping by,
