2015 A look back!
Welcome 2016!
I hope you all had a wonderful New Year’s Eve! Mine was spent with family and friends. This year we had a very special surprise. Our New Year’s Eve party came with a proposal. Yup, right there in the middle of the party! He got down on one knee and she said Yes! This is a young man that we have known since he was about 6 years old. What a treat to be there to see him ask his love to marry him! They’re a wonderful couple, made for each other, and we wish Dylan & Nicole many years of happiness!
I can’t welcome in the New Year without taking a look back at all that has happened in the last year.
This year had its sad times too-my mom’s health was failing rapidly and caring for her took my focus from the blog. I have no regrets. I cherish the time I had with her. Thanks for hanging in there as I navigated this difficult loss.
2016 promises to be a much more productive year with lots more in store for you!

Remembering My Mom
My Mom passed on May 18th, 2015. My life is forever changed. There’s a huge void and I miss her and all the silly, happy and even sad moments we shared over the course of each day during these last 17 years. Finding a new normal after caring for someone for so many years is a lot harder than I thought. I’m so grateful for the time we had together.

Mom insisted on a photo shoot Christmas morning–her gift to us–she hated getting her photo taken! Notice the silly one with the bow on her head!
This blog was originally started as a way to occupy myself in those down times during Mom’s care. It’s become so much more. I really enjoy sharing my projects and a little bit of my life with you. I love your comments and questions.
I’m so grateful to all of you for taking time out of your busy lives to visit and share your comments. I have lots of plans for this little blog, so stay tuned.
I want to wish you all a Happy New Year filled with love, laughter, and health!
Be Well,
Karen

You had some great projects last year (can’t believe I’m saying last year already…)
My heart goes out to you for the loss of your mom. Hugs. xox
nothing compared to the amazing feats you performed in your cottage my friend! It’s been hard, but life goes on! Happy New Year Annie! <3
