Awesome Gifts for Crafters!
This is something I think EVERY crafter should have and has really been a game changer for me in my crafting business. There are lots of projects( in my gallery ) that I have done with this little machine and I haven’t begun to tap into what it’s capable of! It does so much more than cut paper. This little machine can cut stencils, vinyl appliques, fabric appliques, lightweight wood, and so so much more. Here is a SMALL sampling of the types of projects you can make with the Cricut Explore Air 2
This was the best investment I have made thus far in my crafting business. I use it for nearly every project! I would highly recommend this as the perfect gift for any crafter.
This next item is something totally new to me and I think it’s one of the best ideas I’ve seen in a long, long time!
This is the absolutely coolest thing ever for the creative person in your life! From complete novice to the experienced crafter, there is something for everyone!
Craftsy offers online classes, books, kits, patterns and supplies. They walk the crafter through entire projects, or specific techniques, and much more. They have degrees of difficulty, so whether your favorite crafter just learning or a master, there is something for you! If you know someone who would like to refine their craft, learn new techniques for an existing craft, or to learn a completely new craft or skill, Craftsy is the ultimate gift!
Some of what they offer:
Sewing * Quilting * Painting * Drawing * Baking * Cooking * Stamping * Papercrafts * Jewelry Making * Woodworking * Enameling * Embroidery * Gardening * Spinning * Weaving * Knitting * Crochet * and many more.
Craftsy isn’t limited to crafts either. They give instruction on a multitude of hobbies! As well as classes on the aspects of each. An example is how to use your camera as well as photography classes, including instruction on Photoshop, Light Room, Illustrator and many, many more!
There are literally hundreds of classes covering every craft/hobby and subject imaginable. You have to see this to believe it. What would possibly be better than a gift from Craftsy for the creative person on your list!
I had to do a little research for this category! I haven’t purchased a sewing machine in 20 years! They don’t even make mine anymore, but that’s ok-if you love your sewing machine, you’re in for the long haul. I looked up the top, 5-star rated sewing machines in 2016 and my research revealed quite a few of them. I chose three machines from the list and all of them are around $150!!!!
Brother CS6000i Feature Rich Sewing Machine Approx. $150
Brother XR53 Sewing Machine Approx. $150
These machines were rated 5 stars for ease of use, performance and construction, so any one of them would be a wonderful gift for any sewer’s range of experience from newbie to master!
A Dedicated and Organized Craft Space
There are thousands of craft and hobby supplies available and creating a place to store them all and a space to craft that’s practical and pretty can be a challenge. This is a little pricey, but it’s such a nice looking and practical piece of furniture I decided to share it with you.
I really like this piece. I hits all three necessities on my list–practical, attractive and not too big. I love that you can close it up if needed and store everything inside! There are dozens of other styles and colors available too. This Sauder cabinet holds your craft supplies and provides ample workspace. It’s a really pretty piece of furniture too.
I love this piece! The Better Homes & Gardens 8 Cube Organizer comes in these three finishes as well as grey and pink and gives tons of options for storage! Use it vertically or horizontally and add baskets and bins to sort and organize craft supplies.
Nothing makes a crafter happier than money to spend in our favorite craft stores. Don’t know what to buy? An online gift card from JoAnns or Michaels is the ideal gift for any crafter and you can purchase them online, just click the name of the store!
Zazzle has tons of gift ideas. You can even design your own t’shirts, phone cases, coffee mugs, travel mugs and hundreds of other items for a gift that’s a little more personal or the crafter who has everything!
I hope you’ve been inspired to find just the right gift for your favorite crafter!
